Tampa International Airport (TPA) will introduce year-round nonstop service to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, with Breeze Airways beginning June 18, 2027. This marks the first time an airline has provided scheduled flights throughout the entire year to the Dominican capital.
Breeze will operate the route twice a week, on Fridays and Mondays, utilizing an Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The addition of Santo Domingo makes it Breeze’s sixth international destination from TPA.
“What a thrill it has been to watch Breeze’s rapid growth at TPA,” said Alex Heiter, TPA Director of Air Service Development. “By adding another international nonstop flight, the airline continues to increase its commitment to TPA and will soon offer Tampa Bay travelers another easy way to reach the Dominican Republic.”
David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze Airways, noted the ongoing demand for their cost-effective services in Tampa. “This new travel option to Santo Domingo will give Tampa another option to come fly Breeze when they want to take that next trip,” he stated.
Santo Domingo will not be the only destination Breeze has launched in the Dominican Republic from Tampa in 2026. The airline began nonstop flights to Punta Cana on July 2 of that year.
The flight schedules for the new route are as follows:
| Route | Departure | Arrival |
| TPA – SDQ | 10:30 a.m. | 1:25 p.m. |
| SDQ – TPA | 2:25 p.m. | 5:30 p.m. |
