Solidion Technology, Inc. has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing energy storage solutions for artificial intelligence (AI) data centers through its innovative PEAK Series uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. The announcement was made on October 14, 2026, in Dallas, Texas.
The company highlighted the increasing power density demands faced by data center operators as AI workloads rise. These operators must ensure that their facilities remain operational during grid disruptions, which makes reliable UPS systems essential. However, traditional UPS batteries not only require regular replacement but also occupy valuable floor space that could be used for additional AI servers and equipment.
Solidion’s PEAK Series is designed specifically for AI data center applications, utilizing the proprietary 5500 silicon-carbon anode cell to meet the evolving energy requirements of these facilities. The company’s strategy is focused on three primary areas:
- Energy density and space efficiency: According to Solidion, the PEAK series can reduce the UPS footprint by up to 30%, thereby maximizing available space for servers.
- Reliability and longevity: The 5500 anode cell is engineered to last up to three times longer than standard backup systems, minimizing the frequency of replacements and the associated maintenance costs.
- Materials-level innovation: With a portfolio exceeding 385 patents related to battery technologies, including silicon anodes and next-generation chemistries, Solidion is positioned to advance energy storage solutions in data centers.
Jaymes Winters, Chairman and CEO of Solidion, emphasized the importance of the AI infrastructure market for advanced energy storage solutions. “Our focus is on translating our technology into practical commercial solutions that address real customer demand,” he stated. “We are not betting on which chips win; we are focused on supplying something every data center needs.”
Solidion also plans to keep pursuing opportunities to integrate its battery technologies directly with end users, further supporting the growing energy storage needs in the AI sector.
Headquartered in Dallas with a pilot production facility in Dayton, Ohio, Solidion Technology (NASDAQ: STI) specializes in the manufacturing of battery materials and components. Its research and development efforts target energy storage systems, including those for AI data centers and electric vehicles across various transportation modes.
