Las Vegas, Nevada (October 23, 2026) – The World Series of Poker (WSOP) will launch its Super Circuit series in the Caribbean for the first time, hosting the WSOP Super Circuit LATAM at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic from January 24 through February 2, 2027.
This 10-day festival will feature 18 official WSOP Circuit gold ring events, including a Main Event with a buy-in of $3,500 and a guaranteed prize pool of $2 million. The series aims to attract competitors from Latin America and the Caribbean, marking an expansion of the WSOP’s international reach.
The partnership with Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana signifies a notable debut for the venue as an official WSOP event host. It provides players in the region a chance to compete for prestigious poker titles while enjoying the scenic locale known for its stunning beaches and tropical climate.
“WSOP Super Circuit LATAM is an exciting step in broadening our live tournament offerings,” said a WSOP spokesperson. The series is designed not just to cater to high-stakes players but also to accommodate a variety of playing styles and bankroll sizes.
The schedule kicks off with Event #1: $500 No-Limit Hold’em Super Circuit Kickoff, complemented by the $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em Hard Rock High Roller on the opening day. Additional key events include the $1,700 No-Limit Hold’em WSOP Circuit Championship and the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Monster Stack, as well as opportunities for budgets with the $400 No-Limit Hold’em Mini Main Event.
Players seeking high-stakes competition can participate in events like the $10,000 GGMillion$ High Roller. The diversity of tournament offerings aims to attract a wide range of competitors looking to add their names to the WSOP Circuit record books.
The launch of WSOP Super Circuit LATAM follows the company’s recent global expansion, including the inaugural WSOP Super Circuit Canada held in Kahnawake, Quebec, in 2026. This international tour aims to provide major competitions across different continents.
Participants and their guests can enjoy the resort’s amenities, featuring entertainment, dining, pools, and access to the coastline. This offers a chance to combine tournament play with a Caribbean getaway during the winter.
As players prepare for the series, additional details and event schedules can be found on the WSOP website, where they can plan their participation in this landmark poker festival in a tropical setting.
WSOP Super Circuit LATAM is set to serve as a significant edition to the WSOP’s growing international portfolio, providing players with opportunities and experiences unique to this Caribbean environment.
