Festival of Science Highlights Rare Plant Field Trip
On September 23, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the Moab Festival of Science will feature a unique field trip dedicated to the exploration of Utah’s rare native plants. The event is organized in partnership with expert botanists from the Utah Native Plant Society and the Bureau of Land Management.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the survival strategies of these rare plants and their interactions within the broader ecosystem. The trip will include a short drive to a location known for its rich diversity of rare plants, followed by a series of brief walks to engage with the environment actively.
This educational outing is free to attend, but participants are required to pre-register due to limited space availability. Detailed information regarding the meeting location and other pertinent logistics will be provided upon registration.
The Rare Plant Field Trip is part of the broader Moab Festival of Science, which runs from September 23 to September 27, celebrating science and nature through various events and activities.
