Atlas Ocean Voyages has introduced seven new pre-voyage land experience programs aimed at enhancing the travel itinerary for guests embarking on its Kenya and South Africa voyages aboard the Atlas Adventurer in the spring of 2029.
The new offerings include three programs departing from Nairobi, Kenya, featuring a collaboration with the luxury travel operator Abercrombie & Kent. These programs connect to departures from Mombasa. Additionally, four programs are available from Johannesburg and one from Cape Town, showcasing the region’s renowned game reserves and winelands. Each land experience is designed to augment the expedition experience and aligns with Atlas Ocean Voyages’ commitment to boutique luxury.
The partnership with Abercrombie & Kent focuses on the A&K Sanctuary land experience, an exclusive eight-day journey through three private reserves. Atlas Ocean Voyages will also offer two more safari options, including a four-day introduction to the Amboseli and Tsavo East national parks, allowing guests further opportunities to discover Kenya beyond their cruise.
In South Africa, four excursions from Cape Town will present a range of stunning landscapes, including tours of the Cape Winelands, visits to private reserves in Greater Kruger, and wildlife adventures in the Okavango Delta and Chobe. One of the itineraries even features a trip to Victoria Falls.
James A. Rodriguez, President and CEO of Atlas Ocean Voyages, emphasized the value of these new programs, stating, “An expedition doesn’t have to begin upon arrival at the yacht. These new safari experiences give our guests the chance to enhance their journey with a truly immersive land excursion encountering Africa’s extraordinary wildlife and landscapes, before they ever set foot aboard Atlas Adventurer.”
The newly revealed land programs are set to enrich the travel experience for guests and further integrate the adventure of exploring Africa’s diverse offerings prior to their ocean voyage.
