EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.—As the World Cup events unfold, anticipation builds at the American Dream mall, where Courtney Raden is navigating logistics for a series of celebrations. With hundreds of soccer fans expected soon, Raden is faced with a decision on where to host them: in the ice rink or in Court A, located two levels below the Mozzarella Bar.
This marks Day 2 of a 39-day lineup of World Cup activities at American Dream, which is among the largest malls globally, spanning 3 million square feet. Raden is responsible for coordinating a multitude of events, including a free watch party for the U.S. men’s game scheduled for 9 p.m. tonight.
In addition to the watch party, Raden will also facilitate live appearances by two former U.S. soccer players, with coverage broadcast on ESPN. The mall aims to create an engaging atmosphere for fans, adding to the excitement surrounding the World Cup.
The series of events demonstrates the mall’s commitment to providing a vibrant experience for soccer enthusiasts during this internationally celebrated tournament.
