MEXICO CITY—Dominican Republic-based airline Arajet has announced plans to expand its operations in 2027, focusing on increasing its network including new destinations within the United States. The carrier has secured eight Boeing 737-8 aircraft, which are scheduled to be delivered throughout the year to support this growth.
Manuel Luna, Arajet’s Chief Communications Officer, emphasized the importance of the U.S. as a key market for the airline’s future. “The U.S. is our main objective as a market,” Luna stated, highlighting the strategic direction for the company.
Arajet’s expansion plans come as the airline seeks to enhance its route offerings, catering to the demand for air travel between the Dominican Republic and the U.S. The introduction of new aircraft will facilitate this objective, providing increased capacity and improved service options for customers.
As Arajet prepares for this expansion, details regarding specific new routes and the implementation timeline are expected to be revealed in the coming months. This initiative reflects the rapidly growing interest in travel between the Caribbean and U.S. cities, as airlines adjust to evolving market dynamics.
