COLUMBIA — A new dining and entertainment venue, called Hooked on the Water, is set to open on Lake Murray in late 2026. The facility will be located at 110 Anglers Way in Lexington, as announced in a press release on September 14. While a specific opening date has not been disclosed, representatives indicated that additional details will be shared in the coming weeks.
Development Details
Hooked on the Water will occupy 19,000 square feet and will feature five distinct hospitality concepts, which include an upscale fine-dining restaurant, more casual dining options, an outdoor gathering area, a live music venue, and a private event space. This establishment is anticipated to become one of the largest waterfront dining destinations in South Carolina.
The property is situated within The Retreat at Lake Murray, a residential community covering 66 acres. Although the address is not currently available on mapping services, it is located near 1777 U.S. 378, close to Calks Ferry Road. Visuals released on the venue’s website depict a multi-story lodge with extensive windows offering views of the lake.
Local chef Andy Marchant will lead the dining experience at Hooked on the Water, emphasizing Southern culinary influences and sourcing fresh, local ingredients. Prior to this role, Marchant served as the executive chef at a catering company in Lexington. The dining options will present distinct menus tailored for both the fine-dining and casual restaurant settings, complete with three bars. The fine-dining venue will focus on upscale dishes, including prime steaks and seafood, while the casual establishment will feature a menu of burgers and flatbreads.
In addition to its dining offerings, the venue will host live music and various events. Specific details regarding performers and event schedules will be announced as the opening date approaches. Interested customers can sign up for the “Anchor Club” membership program via Hooked on the Water’s website to receive updated information about menus, opening dates, and special events.
Why It Matters
