Beginning October 10, participants can enroll in an online course titled “Demonic Possessions and Exorcisms in Medieval Christian Europe,” which will explore the complexities of how medieval societies understood concepts of evil, illness, and the supernatural. The course will be led by Mary Anne Gonzales and consists of six weeks of live sessions held every Saturday from 4:00 to 5:30 PM Eastern U.S. time.
This program aims to provide vivid accounts and deeper insights into the social dynamics and cultural beliefs surrounding demonic possession and exorcism during the medieval period. Attendees will able to engage with historical narratives and discover the significant role these phenomena played in shaping communities and individual experiences in that era.
