Prince Albert II held a formal audience at Monaco’s palace on October 15, welcoming ambassadors from the Dominican Republic and Ecuador. This event marked a significant day of diplomacy in the principality.
David Emmanuel Puig Buchel represented the Dominican Republic, while Ana Maria Pesantes Salazar stood in for Ecuador. They were two of the five ambassadors who presented their letters of credence to the prince, a step that formally establishes their roles in Monaco.
Alongside the Latin American delegates, Prince Albert also received ambassadors from San Marino, Egypt, and Guinea-Bissau. Photographs shared by the palace showcased the ornate surroundings of the palace, featuring elaborate furnishings and floral displays, as the prince engaged with his guests.
During the audience, Prince Albert was attired in a blue suit paired with a coordinating tie. This presentation of credentials is a customary part of the diplomatic process, which allows ambassadors to formally introduce themselves to the head of state of the host nation.

The day also included a luncheon at the Hôtel Hermitage, hosted by Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Monaco’s minister of foreign affairs and cooperation. Here, she received the newly accredited ambassadors, providing an opportunity for further discussions on friendship and cooperation between Monaco and their respective countries.
