Sun Prairie East Boys Soccer Shows Strong Performance
The Sun Prairie East boys soccer team is on an impressive streak as they approach the conclusion of the 2026 regular season, remaining unbeaten in their last five matches.
After their last defeat on September 15 against Madison West, currently the No. 9 team in the Division 1 Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association (WSCA) poll, the Cardinals have rebounded strongly. They have claimed three victories and achieved two draws since that match.
The team’s successful run began with a rivalry victory over Sun Prairie West on September 17. This win was followed by a notable 2-1 non-conference win against Monona Grove on September 22. Their most significant achievement during this span occurred on September 24, when they defeated Janesville Parker 10-0 in a dominating performance during senior night.
In their last two matches, Sun Prairie East faced challenges but managed to secure draws. On September 26, they played to a 1-1 tie against Sauk Prairie, with junior Jameson Coutts scoring an equalizer in the second half, assisted by junior Ebrima Sowe. The following match on September 29 against Madison East also resulted in a 1-1 draw, with Sowe scoring early in the 15th minute, assisted by junior midfielder Mylan Geiszler.
