Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde is questionable for the upcoming match against Villarreal this Saturday, coach José Mourinho confirmed during a pre-match press conference. Mourinho did not specify the nature of Valverde’s issue, but indications suggest that the Uruguayan may not participate as the team heads into a critical phase of the 2026-27 season.
In addition, Eder Militao will miss several upcoming matches despite having rejoined the squad for training. The Brazilian defender is still working on his conditioning to ensure he returns to full fitness after his recent injury.
Looking ahead, Real Madrid is set to face Roma in what is anticipated to be a challenging away game in the Champions League next Wednesday. With important fixtures lined up, Mourinho may need to rely on the squad’s depth over the coming weeks.
