San Francisco 49ers rookie Kaelon Black missed Saturday’s practice due to a personal matter but is expected to participate in Monday’s Week 6 game against the Washington Commanders. According to Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com, Black does not carry an injury designation.
The absence from practice is not anticipated to affect his role with the team. Black is currently positioned as the 49ers’ second-string running back, behind starter Christian McCaffrey. However, his performance in recent games has been modest, as he has recorded fewer than 20 rushing yards in each of his last three outings.
The 49ers will look to build on their performance in Monday’s matchup against Washington, with Black expected to contribute in a supporting capacity.
