Mikal Bridges recorded 12 points, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals in 30 minutes during the New York Knicks’ 98-93 defeat to the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night. His three steals marked a season high and included two that occurred in the third quarter of the game.
Despite his defensive contributions, Bridges’ performance has been underwhelming offensively this season. Over the course of six regular-season games, he has only managed to score in double digits on two occasions. His shooting percentage stands at 33.3%, with a three-point shooting rate of 29.2% on an average of four attempts per game.
Bridges’ current average of 6.2 points per game represents a career low, as do his averages in rebounds at 2.8 and steals at 0.8. As the Knicks look to improve their performance, addressing Bridges’ offensive struggles will be essential moving forward.
