Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals (Hactl) was recognized with two prestigious awards at the Supply Chain Asia Awards 2026, including the titles of Air Cargo Terminal Operator of the Year and Supply Chain Innovator of the Year (Cyber Resilience).
In winning the Air Cargo Terminal Operator of the Year award, Hactl demonstrated its commitment to operational excellence and innovation. The company highlighted initiatives such as Hong Kong’s first private 5G-enabled air cargo terminal and the introduction of the world’s first intelligent cargo thermal detection system. Hactl has also adopted HVO renewable diesel for its ground support equipment, improved customer satisfaction ratings, and developed the world’s first lab-validated 100% closed-loop post-consumer recycled (PCR) cargo film.
For the Supply Chain Innovator of the Year (Cyber Resilience) award, Hactl was acknowledged for setting a cybersecurity benchmark in the air cargo industry. The company achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for COSAC-Plus, its air cargo management system, marking it as the first of its kind in Hong Kong to receive this certification. Furthermore, Hactl has implemented an integrated security network that includes AI-enabled patrol robots, a 24/7 Security Control Centre, and behavior-based safety reporting mechanisms.
Chief Executive Frosti Lau accepted the awards during a ceremony in Bangkok. “Our people are the driving force behind everything we achieve,” Lau stated. He added that receiving these accolades during Hactl’s 50th anniversary underscores the company’s commitment to service excellence, innovation, and sustainability. Lau expressed gratitude to Supply Chain Asia and the judging panel for the recognitions and reiterated Hactl’s dedication to driving innovation and creating value for customers and the wider community.
