Week 9 of the 2026 NFL season featured dramatic moments, including overtime and standout performances, as games unfolded across the league. Notably, the matchup between the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints ended in a nail-biting overtime, with the Saints securing a 23-22 victory.
The game saw Shedeur Sanders starting in place of Deshaun Watson, who was sidelined due to concussion protocol. In his first start of the season, Sanders impressed with two long touchdown passes. He connected with tight end Harold Fannon for a 39-yard score late in overtime, but a failed two-point conversion attempt cost the Browns the game.
The Dallas Cowboys faced a competitive challenge against the Indianapolis Colts, with Indy leading for most of the game. However, Dallas rallied late in the fourth quarter, taking a 27-23 victory after Dak Prescott orchestrated a scoring drive that ended with a goal-line touchdown from running back Javonte Williams. Daniel Jones’s interception sealed the game for the Cowboys.
Action continues across the afternoon slate, with multiple notable performances still unfolding. Wide receiver Tank Dell of the Houston Texans scored his first touchdown since returning from injury, catching a pass from C.J. Stroud and racing 63 yards into the end zone.
