Ahold Delhaize USA is enhancing its in-store technology by expanding its partnership with NCR Voyix to modernize key areas such as Point of Sale (PoS), self-checkout, pharmacy, and fuel operations. The multi-year implementation has commenced, with new PoS technology now active in 100 stores and further rollout planned over the coming years.
Ann Dozier, Chief Information Officer at Ahold Delhaize USA, emphasized the company’s commitment to improving customer experiences and operational efficiency. “As we advance our technology strategy, we’re focused on making it easier for customers to shop with our brands and easier for our brands’ associates to serve their customers,” she stated. Dozier highlighted the aim of creating a consistent technology foundation that allows local brands to respond to customer needs while preparing for future demands.
The decision to utilize the Voyix Commerce Platform builds on Ahold Delhaize USA’s longstanding relationship with NCR Voyix, which has been instrumental in supporting the company’s operations in prior years. James G. Kelly, President and CEO of NCR Voyix, expressed pride in continuing to support Ahold Delhaize USA. He noted that “modern retailers need a technology foundation that can simplify store operations while giving them the flexibility to innovate as customer expectations evolve.”
Dozier further underscored the importance of technology delivering value to both the business and its customers, stating, “Working with our brands and technology partners, we look forward to continuing to deliver more value for our businesses and support their growth in an increasingly competitive marketplace.”
In related news, PoS technology will be a focal point at the upcoming 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards. This event, which honors global retail technology innovations, will take place on November 4, 2026, at The HAC in Central London. Attendees can expect a drinks reception, a three-course meal, and an awards ceremony hosted by Aurie Styla, a noted stand-up comedian and broadcaster.
