The third edition of the Technology Dialogue will be held from November 30 to December 2, 2026, at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru. This year’s theme, “Charting Technological Convergence,” will focus on the intersections of various technological disciplines and their implications for global innovation.
The Dialogue aims to bring together a diverse group of participants, including policymakers, scientists, industry leaders, investors, and innovators from India and around the world. The event will delve into the strategic implications of technological convergence, exploring how partnerships can facilitate advancements in critical and emerging technologies.
Participants will experience an immersive engagement with India’s research and innovation ecosystem, moving beyond traditional conference formats. In addition to plenary sessions and expert discussions, attendees will partake in closed-door roundtables and curated walkthroughs. These tours will showcase Indian space and drone startups, specialized deep-tech laboratories, and a leading translational hub and incubator, all aimed at connecting policy discussions with practical technological applications.
The Dialogue will cover a broad range of topics, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, semiconductors, biotechnology, neurotechnology, cybersecurity, space, and defense innovation. Through focused discussions and cross-sector exchanges, the event seeks to identify opportunities for international collaboration, address obstacles to innovation, and strengthen partnerships between governments, research institutions, and industry.
This initiative is being organized by several key entities, including the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, the Ministry of External Affairs, IISc, the Observer Research Foundation, and Global Innovation Square. The emphasis on technological convergence underscores its importance in redefining national security, industrial strength, and economic sovereignty.
