Utah voters will have the opportunity to hear from incumbent Republican Representative Blake Moore and Democratic challenger Peter Crosby during a debate scheduled for Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT. The debate, which is organized by the Utah Debate Commission and PBS Utah, will be streamed live.
This election cycle sees Rep. Moore running for election in the newly drawn 2nd Congressional District, after previously representing the state’s 1st Congressional District. Both districts primarily cover northern Utah, including the city of Ogden.
The Cook Political Report, a well-known non-partisan organization, categorizes the race as “Solid R,” indicating a likely advantage for the Republican incumbent.
As the debate approaches, Moore will address a new and diverse group of constituents due to the redistricting process, which has altered the geographical and demographic landscape of the state’s congressional districts.
Voters interested in the debate can watch the live stream via the PBS Utah platform.
