Vitol Bunkers is preparing to launch liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunker deliveries in Singapore and other Asian markets this year. This decision follows the successful completion of sea trials for its LNG bunkering vessel, the Vivit Asia LNG, as reported by ENGINE.
The company stated that its planned operations are underpinned by a fully contracted regional supply chain, although it has not yet specified the additional Asian ports that will be included or the exact date of its initial LNG bunker delivery.
In addition to the Vivit Asia LNG, Vitol Bunkers has ordered three more LNG bunkering vessels, which are expected to be delivered by 2027. These new vessels will enhance the company’s fleet capacity by over 50,000 cubic meters.
Officials from Vitol Bunkers highlighted that long-term LNG supply agreements and capabilities for bio-LNG production will enable them to provide customers with the necessary scale, reach, and delivery options required in key marine markets.
