Anvay Dravid and Aaryavir Sehwag, sons of former Indian cricketers Rahul Dravid and Virender Sehwag, have been named in India’s squad for the upcoming ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup. The tournament is set to take place in Muscat, Oman, from November 5 to 14.
The selection follows their impressive performances in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy, where both players stood out among their peers in the domestic U19 circuit.
Anvay, Aaryavir Impress with Batting Skills
Anvay, a 17-year-old batsman from Karnataka, has demonstrated exceptional form, notably scoring 151 runs off just 100 balls against Gujarat. This performance was instrumental in helping his team chase down a target exceeding 300 runs. He also showcased his talent during a Youth ODI tour of Sri Lanka in July, where he scored 87 runs off 67 balls against the hosts in Hambantota.
Sehwag, 19, representing Delhi, also made headlines for his batting prowess. He scored 173 runs off 143 balls against Chandigarh in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy, solidifying his status as a key player for the squad. Both players aim to continue their streak of good performances throughout the tournament.
