ITSEC Asia Tbk, an Indonesian cybersecurity firm, has expanded its operations into Africa by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Société de Gestion et de Concept en Informatique (SGCI), an Ivorian IT services and audit company. This partnership aims to enhance security operations for public institutions and critical infrastructure in Côte d’Ivoire.
The collaboration represents ITSEC Asia’s first venture into the African market, aligning with its strategy to broaden its reach across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and now Africa. The two companies plan to jointly develop national-scale security operations projects tailored to the growing cybersecurity needs within the region.
As organizations in Côte d’Ivoire increasingly embrace digital transformation, they face a heightened risk of cyber threats. The convergence of information technology, operational technology, and industrial control systems in critical environments has created more complex attack surfaces. To counteract these threats, advanced cybersecurity measures that involve continuous monitoring, detection, and responsive capabilities are essential.
ITSEC Asia and SGCI’s partnership aims to address these cybersecurity challenges effectively. The strategy combines SGCI’s local expertise, established client relationships, and engineering capabilities with ITSEC Asia’s extensive experience in deploying large-scale cybersecurity solutions throughout Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
Patrick Dannacher, President Director of ITSEC Asia, emphasized the growing complexity of cybersecurity demands in Côte d’Ivoire. He noted that organizations need sustained operational capabilities to defend against these evolving threats. “SGCI has spent more than twenty years building the trust and the engineering depth that this work depends on. Our role is to bring the technology and the operational experience that sits behind it,” he stated.
As outlined in the MoU, SGCI will manage local client relationships and project implementation, leveraging its two decades of experience in Côte d’Ivoire’s IT sector, including areas such as information systems audit, integration, offensive security, and digital forensics. Meanwhile, ITSEC Asia will support SGCI with cutting-edge cybersecurity technology, training, and ongoing assistance for local teams.
