Lenskart has launched the Shunya eyewear collection, featuring 37 distinct styles inspired by Indian music. This new collection is part of Lenskart’s Indian Accents family and is accompanied by a streaming music series called Lenskart Live: Sounds of Shunya, which will run for five evenings on the Lenskart app.

The music series features ten artists performing a range of styles, including contemporary bhajans, classical and Carnatic music, as well as modern takes on traditional sounds. According to Lenskart, the initiative aims to tell the stories behind its collections, starting from the influence of Indian music.
In describing Shunya, or “zero,” Lenskart explained that the collection reflects the meditative space from which sound and creation emerge. The designs incorporate heritage-inspired elements and modern silhouettes influenced by instruments like the sitar, flute, and lotus. The collection is now available in Lenskart stores and on the Lenskart app, introduced just in time for the festive season.
A Lenskart spokesperson emphasized the evolution of Indian music, stating, “Indian music has an incredible ability to evolve while staying connected to its roots. We see that today in the way a new generation is experiencing everything from bhajans and classical music to contemporary interpretations of traditional sounds.” They noted that the Shunya collection aims to reflect this spirit through eyewear.
Celebrating Diverse Musical Influences
The Sounds of Shunya series will kick off with a focus on the contemporary bhajan movement, featuring Backstage Siblings, Prachi and Raghav Agarwal, who have popularized a format of “bhajan jamming” to create community sing-along experiences. Since their debut in 2024, the duo has performed over 300 shows across more than 50 cities.
The lineup includes various vocal artists, such as Arunita Kanjilal and the Iham Kavyam Experience led by Kavya Ajit, showcasing genres from classical and Carnatic to acoustic, Sufi, and contemporary music. Notable instrumentalists like Nandini Shankar on violin and Swayam on sitar will also contribute to the performances.
In addition to Shunya, Lenskart is set to unveil Indus, a collection inspired by India’s ancient tradition of metal craftsmanship.
