Movement has acquired the technology platforms and intellectual property portfolio of Swiss digital health provider dacadoo, enhancing its global wellness platform with new digital behavior tracking capabilities. This acquisition was announced on November 5, 2026, as part of movement’s ongoing expansion efforts.
Dacadoo has developed a notable digital health engagement platform over the past 15 years, supported by 51 registered patents. The platform is utilized by insurers, healthcare organizations, and large employers across various countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Germany. The assets obtained by movement include dacadoo’s software and source code, ensuring that current users will continue to have access to the platform, now complemented by movement’s established technologies that focus on behavior change through research-backed methods.
Yogev Matok, CEO of movement’s Wellbeing Division, expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating, “This acquisition is part of the global expansion movement announced recently. We are pleased to have the opportunity to build on what dacadoo has created and to welcome its customers. Stable continuity for them is our first priority, together with movement’s expanded capabilities in building and operating fully branded digital behavior change platforms for large insurers, health funds, and organizations.”
Movement currently serves more than 2.5 million users with its digital platforms aimed at fostering significant health improvements through long-term behavior changes. A peer-reviewed study involving researchers from Harvard Medical School and Tel Aviv University found that users of movement’s platform had an 18% lower incidence of type 2 diabetes, a 9% lower incidence of stroke, and a 5% lower incidence of cardiovascular disease compared to nonusers.
This acquisition not only integrates dacadoo’s technology but also signifies a strategic growth step for movement as it enhances its product offerings and international reach.
