Strider Technologies, Inc. has appointed Vassili Patrikis as its new Chief Technology and AI Officer, according to an announcement from the company. Patrikis, who previously held the role of Chief AI and Data Officer for Microsoft’s Federal National Security Group, will lead Strider’s engineering, artificial intelligence, and product development initiatives.
His extensive experience, particularly in enterprise technology and national security applications, is expected to enhance Strider’s capabilities as the company focuses on AI-driven intelligence solutions. Patrikis will oversee the development and scaling of Strider’s strategic intelligence platform, which aims to support businesses, government agencies, and academic institutions in managing risks linked to nation-state activities.
“Vassili has spent his career building and scaling AI and data capabilities at some of the world’s leading enterprise technology companies,” said Greg Levesque, CEO and Co-Founder of Strider. Levesque emphasized the growing importance of AI in developing and delivering strategic intelligence, particularly as geopolitical risks evolve.
Organizations today face multifaceted challenges related to intellectual property protection, talent acquisition, and collaborative international research. Strider aims to transform publicly available information into actionable intelligence to help clients mitigate risks posed by state-sponsored threats.
Prior to joining Strider, Patrikis had a significant impact at Microsoft, where he directed AI and data strategies for national security clients. His previous roles at Amazon and Amazon Web Services included leadership in AI, cloud computing, and data analytics, especially within the AWS Data Lab program.
He has also held positions at Accenture, Asurion, and Capital One, focusing on AI engineering and machine learning technologies. This background aligns with Strider’s objectives of incorporating advanced AI into its intelligence workflows.
Patrikis succeeds Yvonne Bigbee, who is set to retire as Chief Technology Officer at the end of 2026 after being a foundational team member since the company’s inception in 2019. Bigbee played a critical role in the creation of Strider’s technology organization and development of its intelligence platform.
During a transitional period, Bigbee will continue to support Patrikis until December 31, 2026, and will remain with Strider as an Executive Advisor throughout 2027, ensuring a smooth leadership transition.
Levesque acknowledged Bigbee’s contributions as vital to the company’s growth and technology culture. As Strider expands its international operations—now present in 16 countries with offices in key cities such as Salt Lake City, Washington, D.C., London, Tokyo, and Sydney—Patrikis’s expertise in scaling AI technologies positions the company for future advancements in strategic intelligence.
Strider develops intelligence capabilities that help clients gain visibility into geopolitical and national security-related business risks, making Patrikis’s leadership especially timely as the global landscape continues to change.
