Zack Swanwick has taken a commanding lead at the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship, held at Te Arai Links’ South Course in New Zealand. After overcoming a challenging start, Swanwick finished the third round with a score of 4-under par 67, marking his second consecutive round at that score. This performance places him two strokes ahead of rivals Fifa Laopakdee and Cooper Moore, who are tied for second place.
Laopakdee, the defending champion, and Moore are now in a position to challenge Swanwick in the final round. Japan’s Kaito Sato trails closely behind, sitting another two strokes off the pace.
The tournament continues to draw attention as it showcases emerging talent in the golf community, with aspiring amateur golfers competing for the prestigious championship. The final round is set to play a critical role in determining the champion of this year’s event.
