Elite cyclist Kohath Baron and under-23 rider Ajani Casimir will represent Dominica at the Caribbean Cycling Championships on October 11, 2026, in the Dominican Republic. The Dominica Cycling Association announced their participation, marking the first time it will have competitors in two categories at the same event.
Ronald Charles, President of the Dominica Cycling Association, conveyed his best wishes to both cyclists as they prepare to face off against leading riders from across the region. Charles also confirmed his attendance at the Caribbean Cycling Union’s annual convention, which will coincide with the championship.
He anticipates a dynamic competition featuring approximately 140 kilometers of road racing, with participants from countries including Guyana, Cuba, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, and various territories within the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).
Charles underscored the importance of this opportunity for Dominican cyclists to showcase their skills on a Caribbean platform. He expressed excitement about the chance for Baron and Casimir to represent their nation among the best in the region.
The Dominica Cycling Association has also thanked the Dominica Olympic Committee for its sponsorship and support, which will assist in providing essential resources for the athletes’ participation. As the date approaches, the association looks forward to a successful competition, carrying Dominica’s hopes into this prestigious event.
