Japanese law firm Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu has announced the appointment of Supattra Sathapornnanon as a partner in its Bangkok office. Sathapornnanon previously served as a partner at Chandler Mori Hamada.
Her expertise includes solar power projects, waste-to-energy and biogas facilities, coal-fired power stations, real estate, major infrastructure, and corporate and acquisition finance. In her new role, she will also provide advisory services to international lenders and major commercial banks in Thailand on large project financings across Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Shohei Sasaki, head of the Bangkok office, stated that the decision to hire Sathapornnanon was driven by increased demand for project finance and banking expertise. This move is intended to bolster their energy and infrastructure practice, which was launched last year with the recruitment of two partners and their team. “Her recruitment is part of our efforts to strengthen our capabilities in these areas,” Sasaki added.
This appointment follows the previous expansion of the firm’s Bangkok energy and technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) practices in September 2025, when it added partners Supasit Boonsanong and Charuwan Charoonchitsathian, alongside a six-lawyer team from Tilleke & Gibbins.
