ABN Cleanroom Technology has finalized a Grade C cleanroom for Cryoport Systems in Liège, Belgium, specifically designed to handle and prepare materials for advanced therapies.
Cryoport Systems specializes in temperature-controlled logistics, offering services for the safe transport and management of cell and gene therapies, biological materials, and other temperature-sensitive products utilized in the life sciences sector.
The cleanroom was constructed using ABN’s Configure-to-Order+ methodology, which integrates pre-engineered building components with tailored project requirements focused on process and compliance.
This facility is built to conform to a current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) environment, essential for the handling of advanced therapeutic materials.
ABN highlighted that this project represents a significant step in its expansion efforts throughout Wallonia, where there is an increasing appetite for life sciences infrastructure.
The completion of this cleanroom adds to ABN’s expanding portfolio of specialized controlled-environment projects across Europe. In August, the company commenced work on the ViTalent cleanroom training facility and completed another cleanroom for the Spanish aerospace firm Kreios Space, supporting its satellite technology development.
Additionally, ABN has delivered a modular cleanroom for Exolaunch, a satellite launch services provider, at their site in Berlin, accomplishing the installation in just three days.
Earlier in April, ABN also completed cleanroom infrastructure for imec, a semiconductor research organization, in Belgium.
