Leipzig-based emtec Electronic GmbH will showcase its advanced paper and tissue testing technologies at the upcoming Paper & Tissue Show London, scheduled for November 11-12 at Excel London. The German company aims to engage with British industry professionals while simultaneously presenting its measurement solutions at the Advanced Design & Manufacturing (ADM) Montréal in Canada.
At the London event, expected to attract manufacturers, suppliers, and professionals from the paper, tissue, hygiene, and converting sectors, emtec will be represented at booth C14 by Sales Area Managers Philipp Sievers and Andrea Maldonado. The trade show provides a platform for exploring new technologies and fostering business relationships within the industry.
Emtec’s team, supported by local partner Solstar and representative Richard Hirst, will present four key measurement instruments: the FPA Fiber Potential Analyzer, CAS Charge Analyzing System, TSA Tactile Sensation Analyzer, and EST 12 Surface & Sizing Tester. These devices offer crucial insights into various aspects of paper production.
The FPA and CAS analyzers assess particle charge and zeta potential during the wet end of paper production. The TSA analyzer objectively evaluates the tactile properties of tissue products, such as surface softness and stiffness. Additionally, the EST 12 provides vital data on the surface characteristics of paper and board, contributing to enhanced material understanding, production efficiency, and consistent quality.
Simultaneously, the ADM Montréal, running from November 10 to 12, will connect experts and businesses across various manufacturing sectors. Emtec, represented by Patrick Phanhoef from QC Contrôle at booth 1832, will promote its measurement and testing solutions tailored for the North American market, particularly the Canadian pulp and paper industry.
Attendees at the ADM Montréal will have the chance to learn about the EST Surface & Sizing Tester, which helps optimize production processes and reduce costs. This innovative tool measures process-relevant surface parameters of paper and board to assess their suitability for printing, gluing, and coating applications. Unlike conventional methods, the EST provides quick analysis using ultrasonic technology to determine surface sizing and porosity, offering manufacturers critical data for quality assurance and process improvement.
