Asia represents a crucial area for Kistler’s growth. In its latest annual report, the company noted expectations for steady development across the continent and affirmed its commitment through significant investments. “Our customers in Asia-Pacific expect a partner who understands their applications and is there when it counts,” said Marc Schaad, CEO of the Kistler Group. “With our new headquarters, we are closer to them than ever and are building a strong base for our future here.” The opening ceremony featured Kistler’s global leadership team, Swiss Ambassador to Malaysia Chantal Moser, and representatives from the Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce.
Kistler’s measurement technology plays a vital role in various industries and infrastructure projects throughout the region. One notable application is at the Penang Second Bridge, known as the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge, which is a key transportation link in Malaysia. Kistler systems installed on the bridge provide critical traffic and load data, helping to ensure the structure’s safety and long-term operational reliability.
The new headquarters aims to strengthen Kistler’s collaboration with customers, academic institutions, and industry partners. The company intends to help these groups translate measurement data into actionable insights that can improve quality, increase efficiency, and foster innovation.
Founded in 1959, Kistler has grown alongside its customers and is recognized as a leader in dynamic pressure, force, torque, and acceleration measurement technology. With over 2,000 employees across more than 60 locations globally, Kistler focuses on advanced technologies relevant to emerging trends such as electrified drive technology, autonomous driving, and Industry 4.0. The company reported sales of 424 million Swiss francs in 2025, with 9% of that figure reinvested into research and technology to ensure continued innovation.
